Im still here!! Although dont seem to have a life any more! third year is way to hard!!

Havnt surfed in Months however going to australia in 5 months

Hope everyone is good! its really different this year but would be good to see some old faces! Xxx

I think me and Bams will decide nearer the date when we can see what surf is like, i know it will hard to find a place to stay but we might find a nice couples room . We were toying with the idea of going down this weekend if the surf picked up, but it didn't.. so another xbox weekend i thinks.

I asked Marmite why the club didn't use the site anymore and she said she can't change it because she doesn't know html and wouldn't want to constantly nag Hovis.

Easter Surf trip update - I have given up on going to Newquay and have instead booked 2 nights at Oceanbackpackers in Ilfracombe - bring on the Yam Yams!!

There are 4 of us going down there - cheaper on petrol lol! Have you made any decisions on where you're going Bam Bam??

Thanks for the update, it's cool to know it's still going. How come they don't use the site anymore? It seems like it only gets used by us oldtimers now.

Stafford sounds as shit as ever! Congrats on the job offer & hope it all goes well.

Are you going to come for a surf at Easter then with Bamage? c u soon hopefully

For those wondering... the surf club is still going, there are around 8 active new members (including Marmite). So far trips done are:

Newquay (1st trip Sept)

Crowde (November) - I didn't go on this one but 8 people did

Newquay BUSA (Feb 29th) - 7 people went including me, surf was OK but I didn't have my surf board, it worked out easyier to hire, since i was the only one who wanted to take a board. Good first night on the lash, but no one wanted to go out 2nd night - i had my shirt on rdy for sailors club

There is talk of a foreign trip to Portugal around June time for a small group of 6-8.

Since I'm putting off doing some FYP work i'll carry on with the Stafford update...

pirate night (which I missed as i was snowboarding with token) had 200 people, which is extremely busy for a night out at the SU these days.

The SU bar is at an all time low, people just don't go there anymore. Cuz of this drink prices have gone up example: I went to the SU bar with Token, olly (the shadow) and Tristan for Xbox night thinking there would be xbox's on every TV screen. Nope 1 xbox, 1 at a time, 40 guys and 1 girl, �2.45 a beer. After 1 beer we decided to go into town, spoons, where drinks are cheaper and not only that we met more people we knew and saw more women.

4m is being spent on the uni to make the ouside of the beacon building look like the octagon (resurfacing walls and new roof) so half the uni is a building site at the mo.

I haven't been very involved with the surf club this year, missed a couple of socials, most of my spare time goes towards Surfing with Bam Bam at weekends, Super fridays and gobble with starksy (although its been a while) and every tuesday MAN night with Token, Trist, olly and tokens house mates Fish and Ad.

Ace 3rd year...

on the plus side my FYP is coming along and I've had a few interveiws and 1 job offer!

just checked availability with international backpackers - apparently it's a 3 night minimum stay at �22 per person per night - rip off!!! can anyone suggest anywhere that might be a bit more reasonable?

I also have a change of plans a couple of my friends and I will be going down to Newquay from Saturday to Monday over Easter weekend.... YEY!!! This could work - I just need to find a hostel to stop in.

Hey guys,

Paul & me are thinking over going down Newquay way easter weekend as Paul's parents have booked a caravan just outside town fri-mon, it would be free for us so would probs stay there. If you guys chose to go to Newquay then we could have a catch up.
I wouldn't fancy camping at pikeysite in this cold weather! If u went to Polzeath then we could always drive up the coast one day to catch up.
